Feature request: Allow the user to choose to disable phone screen dimming and just be always on

It’s so strange, yet so beautiful. It makes me appreciate math in a different way. I like it when math is represented via art.

Every time I press record video the app crashes

There’s no question this app is incredible. It is insanely easy to use, endless possibilities, and just super cool all around. HOWEVER - if you want to post the recorded videos on other platforms (socials, youtube, etc.) the video will be super pixelated and blurry. I believe this is due to the recordings just being a screen recording rather than actual data recording, so while the program itself may be reflecting the 60fps 1080p, your video won’t be since screen recording doesn’t capture each individual pixel. This was my primary desire of what to use this app for, unfortunately without a high quality recording it goes from incredible to absolutely worthless for this purpose. I love the app, but unless the developers fix this monumental issue I probably won’t ever use it again

I see the developers still haven’t added a GIF option. I emailed them over a year ago about adding a GIF option in the video section, I guess my email fell on deaf ears. What a shame because that would take this app to another level. Dropping my rating down to 3 stars.

the into is so stressful and tedious, i was excited to try the app but had all those unnecessary instructions keep popping up…made me immediately uninterested and i exited the app lmao… good try i guess

Cool but want reaction to external audio source

New iPhones with dynamic island had made it impossible to access the top menu. Now fixed in today’s update!! Thank you!

The update is more fractals. Add new fractals like the Burning Ship fractal, the Celtic fractal I mean come on! Why only the Mandelbrot and Julius sets! I want more fractals NOW

My old program is no longer compatible with Windows. I’m in progress to transition to Apple, starting with the phone (T-Mobile and Verizon make it easy). Frax was highly recommended, so I figured I’d try it out. I wish I could have made this switch sooner, I’m completely blown away with the capabilities in this program! Now the only limit is my old eyes… Can I transfer my Pro account to the iPad I’ll be getting?

Amazing, I have a request though, to add more stuff like burning ship and mandelbar fractals and higher than 3 power

Updated the app and was expected to pay another $4.99 after paying $9.99 for it initially when I downloaded it. Now it shows no record of my previous purchase. Disappointing. This app can now go in the trash as far as I’m concerned.

I’m starting to figure out how to get the images I want, but I don’t stop there. I’ve been importing the images into Procreate, combing them and/or using them as background for other images. For those of us who want complex images without having to learn the math, this is it.

Very cool app, but photo integration doesn’t work, which was the entire reason I bought it. I want to create custom visualizations for my music and it’s not working how I’d hoped. Please fix.

Amazing app! I would spend hours playing around and creating a lot of rad art with Frax! I really like the capability to record videos but the issue I have is that it’s very poor quality when playing the videos back. I hope this gets resolved!

I love this app!! I’ve made amazing posters and album art for my music. When I needed help, they responded with a solution and detailed help.

One of the best apps I’ve ever downloaded. The only problem is It keeps showing that I can get frax he on my iPad but it’s says it’s not available in my region.

Love this app, $5 for the pro version is fair. I’ve had issues with my iphone 12 pro max displaying a temperature warning screen twice now, both after about 15 minutes of use in app. Bummer considering how fun this app is

Was fun while it lasted rip F4AX used to love staring into the mandlebot but no your not getting my money to fuel your greed. You don’t give something away for free than take it back that’s just bad business. Unless you sell drugs.

This app is an incredible technical accomplishment that stands even today, years after its release. Back when it came out even the best fractal explorers required you to wait for each image to render, and real-time exploration wasn’t even a hope. It’s a work of mathematical and coding wizardry to have let us do this. But SubBlue was always pushing the edge in that realm! Today this app lets me easily explain to people what fractals are and to let them appreciate them in dazzling beauty as well as their mathematical cool.

Seriously, amazing app. There”s also large number of users who upload crazy presets they created. GET THIS APP NOW. Frax team, thank you! Mandelbrot lives forever!

This is not only the best fractal app I’ve ever seen, it’s the best all-around visual arts app I’ve ever used. It may very well be the best app in the App Store. Although it does indeed get rave reviews and is highly respected industry-wide, I still don’t think it gets the recognition it deserves. I may sound like an a company spokesman - and if I were famous, I would be! - but I’m just a devoted fan. The program this team created to allow us to fly through the complexities of the Mandelbrot set in real time - all the while enabling us to create eye-popping artwork using simple gestures and an interface that disappears rather than distracts - is truly miraculous. I cannot understand how anyone could rate this less than 5 stars. I’d give it more if I could, and I bet you will too if you spend a little time learning how it works, followed by endless hours of exploring the creativity and beauty it allows you to express. The new release just adds to the awesome with new fractals, features, and hidden gems...

I was very upset after the update because the save rez was lower than pro. But the developer wrote me and told me how to save as a larger rez. I still wish I could set my own default and my own default rendering as I am on a iPad Pro 2020 version. But this will work. I am including the instructions for those who may be as confused as I was. "pressing and holding down on the ’Save Image’ button on the ’Share’ panel. This should give you a menu of size options, including “Custom” (if you’ve upgraded to Pro) which allows up to 8192x8192." .... It did!

But I've already paid full price for the pro version of both ipad and the iphone apps... And I feel pretty cheated right about now with the release of a single app. Hell, I've only had them both about a month now... Not very happy about this at all. ##UPDATE## After having the chance to fully look into the new version, on my ipad pro, I can honestly say that I'm furious. You've reduced the maximum resolution by HALF, and I can't for the life of me see how you thought a bunch of amorphous blobs of color were going to replace crisp, clear, well-defined fractals without anyone noticing. It's painfully obvious that the quality is squarely half of that in the version you're replacing. At this point, I wish I had not checked the app out this morning, because I felt far less taken advantage of before when there was only the fact that I paid twice for what was now going to be one product. Now, I'm seeing that not only did I get ripped off, but taken for a ride as well, with you not only delivering less in quantity but also tremendously less in quality. This was a poorly considered decision on your part and one that in the end benefits only you, to the detriment of your once happy customers, who are now just highly offended at best. A refund and heartfelt apology are most definitely in order, and would be at the very least, a promising start towards correcting this blunder. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😒

I almost never write reviews but this app!!!! So many possibilities with visual creation. I use it to make IG videos with my sound art.

Not many apps stay installed on my phone. But this one is a must. Not only is it great for creating some cool art, but also my go to stress reliever. I can get lost in it for hours. Highly recommend.

I’m not the type that usually writes reviews, but I have to say that this app is beyond compare. I stumbled on it while looking for a music visualization app to cast to my TV (which I only found complete garbage). The quality of the textures is a true test and looks amazing on a Retina display. This app isn’t technically a “game” but so far I’ve spent many hours just playing with the gorgeous fractals. There’s a free version of the app as well but as soon as I saw the stunning fractals, I paid for the the pro version. Seriously this is probably one of the best apps I’ve ever seen. Now I’m going to dig into the math behind the beautiful visuals of these fractals. Just buy this app. PS. With the pro version you can record videos, I have been converting them to “Live Photos” and using them as wallpapers.

I feel extremely ripped off.

I can not click the save button on iPhone X to share or save a Frax. The menu button and save menu button are directly over each other. Other than that I love everything about the app
