What a load of garbage! I just spent five bucks on the upgrade to Franks pro, and it wont download, despite repeated tries, or confirmations from the app! Dont bother. Theyre cheating you, unless they get this fixed!

This is one of my all time favorite apps. Im an artistic person, and Im also into science. Exploring the virtually infinite maps of the Mandelbrot and Julia fractal sets has been like going hunting for something nobodys found before. Ive probably spent at least 50 hours so far looking around, tweaking the texture, color and lighting settings, rendering the best things I find to my phone and uploading them to the Frax website so other people can see & use them. Upgrading to the pro version is definitely worth the money, most importantly in my opinion because it greatly increases the complexity and depth that you can explore of the fractals. Its also been really great after a bad day to use in the evening and forget about anything negative and not have any specific goal like a game would, but just relax and create. Very, very great app.

This is a brilliant app worth every penny. Its liquid fast for maximum creativity. You can do professional work thanks to the extremely high resolution cloud renders. I love exporting my renders into other apps for additional processing. The developers have a long history in creating creative tools. Hope the masterminds come out with more apps soon.

Everything you could want in a fractal app and more. Extremely powerful and customizable. Blows my mind this is possible on a phone.

Everyone whos into fractals, this is the app!

This app is really good. The only thing that really keeps it from being great is the GUI. When it comes to the gestures you use to change the color, texture, lighting, etc., the gestures arent intuitive. Ive been using this app for a while and Im still not entirely sure what they are. Ive gone through the tutorial more than once, but theyre not intuitive, so they just dont stick with me. The fractals are great to navigate and alter, but with the gestures being so unintuitive, its hard to get things as I really want them. I feel like the great images Ive come up with are more a matter of luck than choice. I also dont really like the layout of the controls. I just found some menu that I didnt even know was there, after using the app for a while. One of the foundations of GUI design is that it should be self-explanatory. So, while I do love playing with the app, I also feel that the GUI could really stand to be improved. Its a great idea for an app, though. I love math and I love fractals. It really showcases the beauty of math and allows people to be able to play with it -- something I wish they did more of in Math classes.

Finally: an extremely powerful and versatile fractal generator with an easy-to-master interface. Well-done, Frax folx!

This is a visual experience that left me speechless. I just cannot find words to describe it. Thank you to all of the great minds that made this app possible.

Really wonderful app. Best of its kind for a mobile. I only wish the video recording was better. Theres no anti aliasing and the moment you want to navigate across the fractals it becomes very pixelated. If the rendering could be done more smoothly this app would be a forced to be reckoned with

Beware the mere "gallery" viewing fractal apps. The resolution is an offense and their static still are an offense... ok ok you get me... This is the best Ive seen unless you are a math/geometry person. Much much more than the gallery stuff. Im an "old time" fractal explorer from the days of clunky software written by enthralled devotees, to modern mind blowing stuff on desktops, including the first glimpse of alien life in "flame" fractals... _This app_ //really// gives you the thrill of the infinity of fractals; the diversity beyond what our eyes can see in Life all around. Fractal geometry is the math of God.... youll feel that .... Hours of exploration, never-ending peace of tweaking jaw dropping views. Resolution that is worthy of viewing fractals. Salute to whoever picked the entities displayed. Be proud.

Cest une très belle application pour visualiser ensembles de Julia et de Mandelbrot. La version complète, qui permet de régler finement les paramètres de limage, rend encore plus intéressante lexploration de ces objets mathématiques. Fine control of the complex seed input is graphically available, with zoom capability so as to compare the local Mandelbrot form with the corresponding Julia ; iteration number may also be tuned up to 2048, which is great! It is so thrilling that Id also appreciate to get the possibility to define trajectories of the parameters and corresponding animation of the Julia set - and even to define other parameter spaces by variating the "Mandelbrot" base equation :) La finition densemble de la programmation est, ce qui est rare, impeccable et en fait une de mes applications favorites. A must-have, definitely.

If you have even the most remote interest in fractals, chaos theory, art, and how are universe is composed you will covet this app. This team has a ton of experience and I remember using their software over a decade ago. Theyve created not just the best fractal designer, but possibly one of the best designed apps on the App Store. Award worthy.

AMAZING !!! I just upgraded to Pro and even though it is a bit pricey I dont regret spending the $ 4.99 for one minute !!!! The possibilities are LIMITLESS !!! How can I best describe this app ( especially the Pro version ) , EXQUISITE , REMARKABLE , MIND BLOWING , SURREAL !!! I have NEVER experienced an app like this one !!! Its almost like entering a dream like state where all things are both possible and beautiful !!! As well I cannot say enough good things about the app support !! They got back to me promptly and helped me when I wanted to upgrade but they didnt push it on me !!! THANK YOU !! I would STRONGLY recommend going to the upgrade if you can afford it , it will BLOW your mind !!! I WOULD GIVE IT TEN STARS IF I COULD !!! Would LOVE TO SEE MORE APPS FROM THESE GUYS !!!!

Pure awesomeness. You can zoom into fractals like you always wanted to, seeing the same shapes get bigger and the small ones becoming them. The colors and textures really pop and any given screen shot will be good enough to be your wallpaper. I highly recommend this app, as well as the pro upgrade.

Very impressed with this app. I almost immediately upgraded to Pro so I could start fine tuning my discoveries. Highly recommended!

So far so good, though I will re-review this when i get some magic truffles :P
